Traps

Traps are PVC fittings and are designed for automatic separation of condensate from the steam-water emulsion and its withdrawal from the system, as not participating in the process. According to their embodiment PVC Traps are divided on the valve and valveless. Valve Steam Traps of periodic operation applied in power plants, where condensation sporadically (during heating sections of the system during start-up plants, switching lines, etc.), and fall into the thermodynamic and float. In the thermodynamic trap has a disk, overlapping inlet for steam, which opens it in the presence of condensate. In the float trap float controls the release of condensate, which can be open, upside down or closed. More common now are the thermodynamic steam traps with small dimensions and weight, simple construction and high reliability.
