Metal plastic pipe

Metal plastic or metal polimer (MP) is a composite (combined) materials. In the name of the pipe, the words “stabilized” or derivatives of it automatically means that the polymer tube has a layer of aluminum foil to make a tube shape stability and reducing the linear expansion. Pipes from these materials can be either pressure – for water supply (hot and cold) and heating and pressure-free, used for sewage and drainage.

Mostly Metal pipes have three layers: polypropylene-aluminum-polypropylene or polyethylene-aluminum-polyethylene. Between the layers are connected by glue.

The combination of cross-linked polyethylene with an aluminum foil may be: “crosslinked polyethylene (2,0-2,2 mm)” – “adhesive layer” – aluminum foil (0,1-0,4 mm) “-” adhesive layer “- “cross-linked polyethylene (2,0-2,2 mm)” (inter-layer) or “cross-linked polyethylene” – “aluminum foil (0,1-0,4 mm)” (outside).

Working thick-walled tube made of polypropylene, aluminum foil and the surface protective layer of polypropylene may be interconnected through the perforated holes in the foil.

In such characteristics as the preservation of shape after bending, and during operation, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, metal pipes are close to the metal, and resistance to corrosion and minimal deposit formation even surpass them. Other advantages of the pipe are damping the noise and water hammer, as well as chemical resistance to many fluids.

Characteristics of metal pipes:

* One meter of pipe diameter of 16 mm and weighs about 100 g;
* Pipe diameter – from 16 to 63 mm;
* Operating pressure – 10 atmospheres;
* Long can withstand a temperature of + 95 ° C, and briefly, in emergency situations: + 110 ° C;
* Life – 35 years.

Metal pipes manufactured by: «Valsir» (brand «Pexal»), «Tiemme», «Coes», «Prandelli» (all Italy), “Nenso” (Belgium), «Geberit» (Switzerland) «Oventrop» (Germany ) and others.
